This morning just after 4.00 o'clock seven skiers and part of the support team met at the airport and started to queue for check-in. The queuing didn't take that long, but the actual check-in took almost an hour. There were lots of packages - 17 items - and almost every single one of them were special packages. Fortunately, no extra fees were required for the cargo.

Long route to Resolute Bay has now started.

The Explorer group sent an update from Montreal:

From Helsinki we fly to Amsterdam where we waited six hours for the connection flight. The waiting time was used efficiently by buying MP3-players and having a meeting at a restaurant. Finally we started the long flight over Atlantic. After seven hours, the team members and especially all their gear arrived happily to Montreal. From Monteal we continued with a bus to Ottawa where we have rooms booked. AMF-butter had been ordered and delivered to that hotel and it will be included with the other cargo.
